IDP Extras Workshops

IDP Extras provide students with an opportunity to learn and practice new technical skills, develop interpersonal awareness, and share knowlege and experience with other students.  These workshops are not required to complete IDP but are highly reccommended to help refine your outdoor education toolbox.  They are also FREE for all students.



Extras Workshops Schedule:

Environmental Education & Interpretation

October 6, 3 PM – 5PM at Outdoor Programs/Biosphere 

-Birding, Plantlife, Ecology - How to read our landscape 

Primitive Skills Workshop

October 19th, 6PM at Outdoor Programs

- How to use a bow drill and fire building

Single Pitch Instructor Series

(Please sign up for all 3 sessions as this series builds upon skills throughout)

- Gear Placement and Top rope setups

 November 3, 1PM – 5PM at Holloway Mountain

- Releasable Rappels & Transitions

November 10, 1PM – 5PM at Holloway Mountain

- Hauling & Rescue

November 17, 1PM – 5PM at Holloway Mountain
