Background

In 2010, Outdoor Programs was awarded a gift from Polartec to establish a permanent scholarship program. This fund is intended to make outdoor opportunities accessible to more people through our program.

In the Spring Semester of 2012, Outdoor Programs gave away 4 financial scholarship awards to ASU students for a variety of different outdoor leadership opportunities.We are going to give away more scholarships this year. Please see the following links for more information including amounts to be given away, the timeframe, etc.

The awards are intended to be given to students on a financial need and/or merit basis. Please consider this when answering the questions on the following applications.

Journey Award

The Journey Award (up to $250) is intended for any current and full-time ASU student to use on an ASU Outdoor Programs trip, expedition, workshop, or program.

Student Staff Leadership Award

The Student Staff Leadership Award is intended for any ASU student who is employed by Outdoor Programs. Student staff members can apply for this award for any Outdoor Programs trip, expedition, workshop, or program. Additionally, Outdoor Programs student staff may apply for and use this award with other providers of outdoor education who offer trainings, certifications, workshops, etc.
